We stayed one more day in Tena. We wanted to go visit a Zoo a little outside of Tena, but in the morning it was raining again and we stayed in Tena. Fortunately in the afternoon it stopped raining and went to visit the park “La Isla” in Tena itself. It is kind of a combination of botanical garden and a Zoo. Because there were not many people in the park one employee working there asked us if we would like to hold a boa. For me it was the first time I touched a snake and I was amazed by the strength this animal has. There were also some small monkeys climbing around in the trees and suddenly we had them on our heads and shoulders.
