We got up early in the morning to catch a bus that would go directly to Guayaquil, but the bus never came and the office just didn’t open although it should have been open for a while. So we decided to go to the next town with a small bus. They let us off in front of a terminal where about an hour later we had a bus to Guayaquil in Ecuador. We arrived in Guayaquil in the late afternoon and I had a little culture shock coming from Peru. Everything went so orderly, no taxi drivers making problems by always wanting more money. He let us off in the Hotel Velez right in the center, very cheap and the rooms are all right.
