The next day the road continued to be difficult until getting closer to Alanya. This seemed to be a very touristic place consisting almost entirely out of hotels and vacation apartment buildings. Then there started to appear countless holiday resorts along the way to Antalya. I continued to Kemer where I planned to spend the night. The hills to the south west end of Antalya and around Kemer had a small resemblance with the “morros” of Rio de Janeiro, that’s what came to my mind when I saw them. I didn’t really understand why Kemer was so touristic. Ok the panorama is certainly nice but the beach was overcrowded and consisted of large pebbles instead of sand.
