Meteora is a small mountainous region with characteristic rock formations. Some time ago monks decided to build their monasteries on top of these rocks which makes the place truly unique and worth visiting. I went out into the rocks again but this time I wasn’t going to take any risks. On my way I almost stepped on a medium sized land turtle. First I thought it escaped from someone in town but later I found out that they live here. While coming down another path suddenly something rustled in the brushwood. I just saw a long black body shaped like a garden hose dive down the hill with amazing quickness. I was happy the snake was as scared of me as I was of it.
